Visual Artist & Self-Taught Creator

Hannah Decker is a multidisciplinary artist and lifelong autodidact whose work bridges fine art, abstraction, portraiture, and intuitive design. Originally from Oklahoma and now based in St. Louis, she draws on a diverse intellectual background, a love of languages, and a curious mind trained more by wonder than by formal classrooms.

Her art moves fluently across genres—from detailed graphite portraits to vivid color field compositions, from expressive figurative work to structured geometric studies. What unites these varied approaches is a deep sensitivity to rhythm, form, and meaning—qualities shaped in part by her background as a classically trained violinist and her ongoing involvement in music and community through CHARIS, the St. Louis Women’s Chorus, where she has been a singing member since 2021.

Recurring themes in her work include identity, memory, emotional architecture, and visual harmony. She is especially drawn to iridescence, the quiet gravity of expression, and the expressive potential of line—whether in the feathered contour of a bird or the rigid scaffolding of an abstract grid.
